Ecopack

Schoolchildren from the Bulgarian cities of Burgas, Ruse and Dobrich collected over 7619 bags of recyclable plastic bottles and aluminium cans and took part in over 900 eco-lessons within a month during the educational campaign Ecochampions. The initiative, which engaged a total of 52 schools and close to 30 000 schoolchildren from all grades, was organized by Ecopack Bulgaria and aimed to motivate kids for separate waste collection and raise awareness on recycling. The collected cans and bottles amounted to a total of 12 tonnes.

Three school winners - one in each city were selected based to the quantity of collected recyclable packaging. They received an interactive school board to use in classes and sports equipment. All schools, which took part in the campaign received complimentary awards – a set of sport balls for kids to play with.
