Ecopack

A new children’s playground was opened today by Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Ivo Dimov and Ecopack Bulgaria Executive Director Todor Bourgoudjiev. The event was held on World Environment Day and brought together dozens of children and their parents who showed their appreciation of the new facility located on Treti Mart Boulevard.  This is the third such playground that ECOPACK Bulgaria has installed jointly with Dimitrovgrad Municipality.

The play equipment includes a tower, swings, a merry-go-round, spring riders and climbers, amounting to BGN 22,000, financed by the organization. Dimitrovgrad Municipality invested nearly BGN 100,000 in the refurbishment of the site area.

 

“This is our third jointly built children’s playground in Dimitrovrad,” Todor Bourgoudjiev said. Ivo Dimov shared that he remembered the playground from his childhood and was happy to see it full of children. “We’ve managed to turn this into a nice and attractive place but I would like to appeal to everyone now to take good care of it,” the Mayor of Dimitrovgrad added.

The songs performed by the children from Sluntse and Zvunche kindergartens turned the occasion into a truly festive event. In the end all the kids were delighted to receive children’s books about separate waste collection.
